Plants for Pooches

May. 2, 2008
3:00PM – 7:00PM

Do you have the perfect spot on your deck for a hanging basket? Maybe you need a few landscaped planters to put that finishing touch on your patio, or entryway. Let us help! And while we help you, you help the animals!

This year Canoyer Garden Center is once again growing unique combinations of outdoor plants specifically for our Plants for Pooches sale. Arrangements designed for full sun to shady areas will be available for you to purchase. The experts are doing all the work, you simply pick out your planters and place them at home. We'll have a variety of hanging baskets, pots and planters. And if you've got the container at home and just want plants that complement each other, our gardners can help you with individual plant sales, too.

At 6pm we'll dedicate our new Memory Garden that graces the front lawn.  Watch as the original animal watering fountain from the very first Nebraska Humane Society site comes home. The double decker fountain has a top basin for horses and a bottom basin for dogs and cats. The capstone will arrive aboard a horse drawn wagon to be placed on the fountain which will be up and running for your pets to try out!  And we'll explain how you can gain a permanent marker in the garden with a legacy gift.

Come and stroll through our "garden" and grab a libation courtesy of Black Dog Ale. Mark your calendar for May 2 (that's a Friday afternoon)! The best part? As you spruce up your garden you also make life better for hundreds of shelter animals who will benefit from the proceeds.

And of course--feel free to bring your four legged friends!
